Company Description

Bilue is a digital consultancy that designs and builds smart, user-friendly technology for some of Australia’s most well-known businesses. From mobile apps to beautifully designed web platforms and digital experiences, we create solutions that drive impact and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Our culture is people-first and purpose-driven. We’re a down-to-earth, values-led team with offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and a growing presence in Manila. We genuinely enjoy working together, whether we’re solving tough tech problems, brainstorming creative solutions, or grabbing a coffee between meetings. Curiosity is encouraged. Collaboration is second nature.

We value excellence, not ego, and back each other to do great work without micromanagement. With low politics and high trust, it’s a place where delivery people, designers, and engineers genuinely connect, and where everyone has a voice, space to grow, and a little fun along the way.

Job Description

As a Lead QA at Bilue, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and overseeing testing and quality across complex delivery environments.

You’ll work closely with QA practitioners, Engineering, Delivery, and client teams to ensure testing is well planned, environments are fit for purpose, and releases are delivered with confidence. This role sits across multiple streams of work and focuses on bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to testing activities across both Bilue and client-side teams.

While exposure to automation is welcome, it’s not a requirement. Success in this role comes from your ability to organise work, communicate clearly, identify risks early, and solve problems independently in fast-moving delivery contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate QA effort across multiple streams, projects, and resources, spanning Bilue and client-side teams
  • Own test planning and test-cycle readiness across engagements
  • Oversee release readiness from a testing and quality perspective, ensuring risks are identified and addressed early
  • Act as the primary escalation point for testing-related process, environment, or delivery issues
  • Ensure testing environments are fit for purpose in partnership with Engineering and Delivery teams
  • Promote consistent testing practices and quality standards across projects
  • Track, communicate, and manage testing status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes
  • Work closely with Delivery and Client teams to align testing activity with project timelines and expectations
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders through clear communication and follow-through
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing coordination, processes, and ways of working

Qualifications

You’re an experienced QA professional who brings calm, structure, and clarity to complex delivery environments. You’re comfortable working across multiple streams of work, coordinating inputs from different teams, and keeping quality outcomes on track without needing close supervision.

You’re organised, proactive, and confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including client teams.

  • Strong experience working in enterprise or large-scale testing environments
  • Experience coordinating testing activities across multiple projects or streams
  • A solid understanding of end-to-end testing practices and release cycles
  • Experience improving or standardising testing practices across projects
  • Confidence managing stakeholder and client communications
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Experience partnering with Engineering, Delivery, and Client teams
  • Exposure to test automation or automation strategy beneficial
