What we do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver.

We work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver structured training programs to build competency in lean and continuous improvement tools across teams.
  • Project Facilitation: Facilitate and lead kaizen activities and improvement projects across value streams to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance On-Time Delivery (OTD).
  • Operational Excellence: Drive initiatives to eliminate process waste, reduce operational costs, and improve customer satisfaction through lean methodologies.
  • APAC Coordination: Coordinate the lean framework, standardisation, and reporting requirements across the APAC region, chair monthly meetings, and represent APAC in divisional lean engagements.
  • Data & Reporting: Monitor and tabulate waste performance across Weir Minerals Australia and support APAC lean coordination requirements with data-driven insights.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with operations teams, project leaders, and cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and successful implementation of lean initiatives.
  • Travel: Some travel within the APAC region may be required to support coordination and engagement activities.
