About this role

The Learning and Events Manager is a newly created role responsible for executing our OD strategy and bringing together our people, products and customers. This will include the management of programs, initiatives and projects. Reporting into our People Lead, the Learning and Events Manager must embody Stake’s values and be an example for all employees, leaders and customers.

Further responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Together with the People Lead and Chief People Officer, design our OD strategy to lift key capabilities as we scale and grow
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of learning opportunities for employees in line with our L&D approach
  • Run and iterate a thorough onboarding program to ensure employees immediately understand Stake’s vision, mission, values and broader strategy
  • Strategically design and oversee Stake traditions and ‘mini moments’ in the office, including celebrating various cultural traditions or company achievements, as well as encouraging others in the office to create their own
  • Own the event management of any company-wide or external customer facing events, including event design, supplier and budget management, and aligning events with company objectives.
  • In conjunction with the People Lead, manage relevant budgets
  • One-off high-profile opportunity to lead our office move in the next financial year.
A bit about you
  • Minimum 5 years experience within either learning and development and/or employee experience as well as events management
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in HR related field or events management
  • Strong project management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with various stakeholders across the business
  • Advanced skills with Google sheets and Slides and ability to illustrate stories and insights to a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in working with external vendors - from scoping out requirements to driving strategic outcomes specific to project requirements
  • Commercial awareness and acumen to be able to align Learning and Events’ needs to business objectives

At Stake, we’re more interested in your attitude than your resume. If you believe this is a role you want to jump into head first and be part of our mission, please apply and let us know why in your cover letter!
