IREN is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative support to the Legal team, working closely with  lawyers and business stakeholders to keep the team running smoothly. The main priority of the role is managing  legal billing - processing invoices, purchase orders and service entry sheets in SAP, and coordinating monthly  accrual requests - with a smaller amount of billing support for Risk & Compliance. Beyond billing, the role also  provides broader administrative support across the Legal team, and occasionally other departments, as required.

Job requirements
  • 2–5 years' experience in an administrative or team support role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment, with some exposure to billing or accounts payable.
  • Comfortable picking up new systems - experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is a plus, but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn purchase-to-pay (P2P) processes, including purchase orders, service entry sheets, and invoice matching.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy across both billing and general admin tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple business units and stakeholders, including outside counsel.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident investigating and resolving discrepancies or queries as they come up.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also integrating effectively within a team.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and legal information.
  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Prior experience within a professional services environment
