Your New Role 

As Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice to all business units within the Fund and assist the Legal Department to manage legal risk across the Fund. Working under the supervision of senior lawyers, you will support the Fund in navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and operating environment. 

Key duties include but are not limited to; 

  • Providing legal advice on regulatory and workplace investigations. 

  • Providing legal advice on disputes, including commercial, industrial and regulatory disputes. 

  • Providing legal advice on matters before tribunals and courts. 

  • Providing legal advice on employment law and workplace relations matters. 

  • Developing and reviewing precedent documents in line with legislative obligations and best practice. 

  • Assisting with the review and development of policies, processes and procedures. 

  • Monitoring legislative, policy and case law developments and providing associated legal advice and support. 

  • Managing matters briefed to external lawyers and presenting advice with a commercial lens. 

 

What You’ll Need 

  • Bachelor of Laws or equivalent law degree. 

  • Current Victorian Legal Practising Certificate. 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ postqualification experience. 

  • Experience in employment law/workplace relations, commercial dispute resolution and/or regulatory investigations. 

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently. 

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and drafting skills. 

  • Welldeveloped negotiation, research and problemsolving skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and provide commercially focused legal advice.
