The role requires a highly organized individual to lead Align Technology’s Vietnam Clinical team to oversee clinical activities within the region and for providing in-house clinical guidance and support, as well as clinical customer support. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing the Vietnam Clinical strategy. He/She will display strong leadership qualities and has the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams to deliver an excellent clinical customer experience for all Invisalign providers.

Role expectations
In this role, you will…
  • Report to Director, Clinical, Southeast Asia
  • Closely align with the Market leader and local leadership team to ensure strong alignment between Global/APAC/SEA clinical strategies and Vietnam business priorities
  • Translate Global/APAC/SEA clinical strategies into holistic and actionable Vietnam business strategies, ensuring appropriate localization, optimization, and effective execution across stakeholders
  • Drive organization and people leadership by building, developing, and leading a high-performing, collaborative, and engaged clinical team
  • Ensure clear communication, alignment, and shared understanding across stakeholders to support effective strategy execution
  • Establish and implement the Clinical strategy including (but not limited to): customer education, speaker development and management, clinical support, Align staff training and development
  • Oversee all aspects of clinical support (including enquiries, complaints) of the team to provide quality services and treatment planning support to customers
  • Drive the clinical team to connect with customers, provide training to them so as to build clinical confidence and competences of knowing how to use the Align systems through virtual or in-person interactions
  • Guide the development of Clinical Education strategy and implementation plan in Vietnam based on different customer segments and needs to meet the business goals
  • Develop KOL and speaker engagement strategy and to actively engage with the KOLs and speakers
  • Strategize the partnership with universities to strongly engage with residents and educators
  • Oversee partnership of Clinical team with other functions to deliver on KPIs across Vietnam
  • Implement training programs which are designed to improve clinical knowledge of the internal stakeholders, such as Sales and Customer Support teams
  • Lead, expand, structure and develop Vietnam clinical team 
  • Deliver operational objectives and work plans
  • Establish and adhere to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness through all clinical processes 
  • Ensure that all company and departmental procedures (clinical and general) are followed throughout the region
  • Provide support to audit processes and quality management system as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 

What we're looking for
In this role, you’ll need…
 
  • To have Graduate of Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Bachelor Dental Surgery. Having an additional business degree is an advantage
  • To have the experience working in dental companies / medical devices companies will be an advantage
  • To be a seasoned leader with a successful track record of at least 8 years of work experience and preferrably with commercial management experience 
  • To be experienced in managing a team with strong people management and communication skills
  • To be customer centric and being able to capture and provide customer insights and using them to drive thinking and decisions
  • To be strategic and critical thinking to have the ability to challenge status quo and drive business impact
  • To have strong implementation skills with excellent execution and being result-driven
  • To have effective communication to be with counterparts including local and regional teams, and external agencies
  • To be proficient in English
  • This role requires 50% travel, mostly around Vietnam but sometimes outside the market
