Are you ready to make an impact? Bring your unique mix of auditing and/or consulting skills to KPMG’s Contract Assurance & Performance discipline, where you’ll have the opportunity to work on industry-leading projects, advance your career, and grow alongside a supportive global network of peers and leaders.

  • Help our clients achieve full value from their most critical contracted relationships.

  • Leverage your audit expertise to identify areas of contract non-compliance.

  • Leverage your consulting expertise to solve complex challenges and contribute to business growth.

  • Role can be based in our Sydney or Brisbane office.

KPMG’s Contract Assurance and Performance discipline is a trusted partner to some of Australia’s largest and most dynamic organisations. We help our clients achieve the greatest value out of their contractual relationships and ensure their arrangements are structured for success. Our team of specialists blends a mix of technical knowledge and innovative thinking to maximise value, unearth efficiencies, and drive better outcomes.

We specialise in:

  • Improving operational performance of contracts.

  • Uplifting contract management activities and implementing best practises.

  • Recovering lost value in commercial agreements and supporting financial recovery.

  • Enhancing compliance with contractual obligations at all stages of the contract life cycle.

  • Helping clients adopt innovative solutions, including our AI ‘KymContracts’ platform and automated tools, to revolutionise how they manage contracts.

Your Opportunity

As a Manager at KPMG, you’ll join an energetic and collaborative team with deep expertise in navigating large‑scale commercial contracts. In this role, you’ll act as a problem‑solver and trusted advisor as you:

  • Collaborate with clients to solve complex challenges and deliver results that bring measurable value to their organisations.

  • Apply your consulting expertise to engage with C-Suite and contract owners, provide practical commercial advice, and execute assurance activities that unlock the full value of their contract arrangements.

  • Establish management frameworks and design tailored governance solutions to enhance how organisations manage their contracts.

  • Showcase your creativity and analytical skills by developing innovative automation tools to increase efficiency.

  • Actively contribute to business development, connecting with clients to build meaningful relationships and play an integral role in growing our practise.

  • Work alongside national and global KPMG subject matter experts, gaining exposure to diverse industries and technical expertise.

  • Inspire and mentor junior team members, guiding them to achieve professional and personal growth.

  • Play a key role in shaping the future of our business with opportunities to lead strategic initiatives and push boundaries.

How you are Extraordinary

We are looking for exceptional individuals who bring enthusiasm, a relentless commitment to quality, and the ability to adapt and flourish in diverse industries. You’ll stand out if you possess:

  • A strong background in audit and/or consulting, demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders, and a passion for solving client challenges.

  • A drive to grow businesses and foster long-lasting partnerships, taking pride in identifying opportunities for clients and KPMG.

  • Practical experience in contract management, procurement process support, or third-party assurance (experience in these areas is highly advantageous).

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in large-scale, complex commercial arrangements, and the data and frameworks that make them work.

  • Tertiary qualification(s) – in-progress external qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CA are highly desirable and we provide support to acquire if you don’t yet have these.

  • Proven experience in leading and inspiring junior team members while thriving in collaborative environments.

  • A strong ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and confidently contribute to business development discussions and client opportunities.

We also welcome candidates with diverse experiences and contributions that enrich our inclusive culture.
