Clayton Utz is one of Australia’s most established and respected leading law firms. We are now seeking a skilled Cyber Risk Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-growing Data Intelligence & Risk Advisory team.

This is a unique, client-facing opportunity to work at the forefront of cybersecurity, collaborating with legal, technical, and privacy experts to deliver impactful solutions for a diverse range of private and government clients.

We are open to candidates based in either our Sydney or Brisbane offices for this role.

About the Role
As a key member of our Cyber Risk team, you will help clients prepare for and respond to cyber incidents, manage data-related risks, and ensure regulatory compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering services such as:

  • Cyber crisis and incident response, including triage, containment, and recovery.

  • Digital forensics, root cause analysis, and post-incident assessments.

  • Data governance and privacy maturity advisory.

  • Third-party cyber risk management and due diligence.

  • Support for investigations, litigation, and regulatory compliance.

You will also play a leadership role supervising and mentoring junior team members, and contributing to thought leadership through articles, webinars, and presentations.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a professional with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting.

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA (highly desirable).

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.

  • Expertise in digital forensic analysis and the ability to articulate complex technical findings to stakeholders.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt to a multidisciplinary environment.
