About the team
Join our dynamic Communications Department as the Manager, Economics Education Program. This exceptional opportunity allows you to lead a dedicated team focused on broadening the reach of economics education to a diverse student population. This role provides a unique opportunity to combine your analytical skills and creativity to enhance economic literacy among young people across Australia, shaping and inspiring the next generation of economic thinkers!
About the role
Leads a team of specialists to implement the public education strategy and contribute to the Communication Department’s objectives
Manages internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to support and enhance the public education program
Directs rigorous research and evidence-based evaluations to identify effective solutions in support of introducing economics to a broader and more diverse student population
Collaborates with other government agencies and organisations on joint work programs to increase economics enrolments in Australia
Oversees the creation of economics resources for teachers, students and the general public, with a focus on monetary policy
Applies creativity in delivering new digital resources for students and the general public
Oversees the planning and delivery of events for students and educators
Offers expertise in communicating economic concepts in a simple way to help amplify the RBA’s voice in the economic conversation
Manages the operations, budgets, people and processes for the area, including continuous improvement
Occasional weekend work
About you
Strong economic research/analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong presentation and report writing skills
Advanced skills in stakeholder management and communication
Demonstrated people leadership and an ability to deliver outcomes
Demonstrated project and program management skills
Work experience within economic and/or policy roles
Skills in communicating complex economics concepts in an easy-to-understand way
Enthusiasm for engaging with young people
