Qantas Loyalty is a high performing business and has a history of launching exciting new brands and services that make a difference to its millions of Frequent Flyer and Business Rewards members. Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards remain at the core of the program, while the business has evolved to include a number of new business verticals such as Qantas Money, Qantas Insurance, Qantas Hotels & Holidays and Qantas Wine.

The Manager, Marketing Operations, is central to the strategic development, implementation, and delivery of best practice marketing platforms, capability and processes within Qantas Loyalty. As a digital MarTech and operations expert, the role is responsible for collaborating with a range of senior internal stakeholders and responsibility for the day to day operations and performance of external technology partners to deliver 1:1 marketing excellence. 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collaborating closely with data and tech teams across Qantas Loyalty and Qantas Airways to define requirements, prioritise and roadmap features that align with the best interests of marketing and Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards members.
  • Consulting with implementation teams to deliver best in class marketing solutions
  • Owning the development backlog of marketing technical features from inception to execution
  • Implementing governance frameworks and guardrails to ensure that the marketing platforms are scalable and sustainable
  • Providing consultation, recommendations, and best practice advice to a diverse range of stakeholders across marketing, analytics and tech.
  • Championing User Experience (UX), Accessibility, and Brand Guidelines within all digital touch points.
  • Delivering training and support to stakeholders during periods of transformation, encompassing new processes, ways of working, and capabilities.

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Previous experience in product management, digital marketing, or CRM/marketing automation.
  • 5+ years of experience in CMS and marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform, Braze or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Prior exposure to decisioning engines and machine learning based marketing at scale
  • A sound understanding of legal compliance, regulations, privacy and consent.
  • Experience in project management, ideally using platforms such as monday.com, Jira, Confluence and Miro
  • Experience in data management, audience and omni-channel journey creation.
  • Proven ability to manage competing tasks, priorities, and stakeholders effectively to ensure timely campaign execution with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a small team of subject matter experts and fostering their development.
  • Excellent data literacy and analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS editing, or SQL is considered a distinct advantage.
  • A sound understanding of Digital Asset Management platforms.
  • A keen interest in emerging marketing technologies and digital industry best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
