Job Description

Your Opportunity

As our Manager, Operational Risk, you’ll lead the operational oversight of risk across framework development, business advisory, monitoring and governance.

You’ll play a key role in strengthening risk maturity and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements across the organisation.

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Designing and enhancing the Operational Risk Management Framework in line with regulatory requirements including APRA CPS 230 
  • Providing risk advisory and challenge to business units on controls, incidents and risk-in-change activities 
  • Delivering data-driven risk reporting and insights to executive and governance forums

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • Experience in operational risk management within financial services (7+ years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including APRA prudential standards
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across senior leadership 

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have:

  • Experience building risk capability across first and second line functions
  • Exposure to the payments or broader financial services ecosystem 
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence and drive change
