About this role 

Be part of our dynamic and fast-growing Internal Audit team where you will have the opportunity to work on high profile client assignments and deliver meaningful outcomes! Our Risk Consulting team is not only growing rapidly but also has a strong culture with remarkable engagement score year on year (one of the highest in the firm), something which we are passionate about. 

Our team is looking for an Internal Audit Manager / Senior Manager to help lead the delivery of key projects to our client portfolio and assist in continued business development and mentoring our team. Ideally you will have at least 5 years’ internal auditing experience either in a professional services environment or in an in-house team. Experience across Public Sector / Education and / or For Purpose areas are preferable. 

You are required to have strong technical foundational knowledge of internal audit standards, risk and controls practices. 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Managing the delivery of internal audit and risk consulting engagements 

  • Managing and developing team members 

  • Developing and managing meaningful client relationships 

  • Develop high quality reports and engagement deliverables. 

  • Contributing to commercial problem solving through analysis, critical thinking, and logical reasoning. 

  • Presenting outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders to influence decision-making. 

  • Oversee engagement financials including budget monitoring and flagging potential overruns. 

  • Supporting Partners and Directors in driving business development initiatives. 

 

Skills & experience  

  • CA, CIA, CPA or other relevant professional qualification preferred. 

  • Proven experience in leading teams, coaching and developing team members to achieve their career goals. 

  • Strong technical abilities and business acumen with good knowledge of internal audit standards, risk and controls practices. 

  • Attention to detail and able to be hands-on when required to.   

  • Strong project management skills to ensure projects delivered are well planned, adequately resourced and meets expected timelines. 

  • Able to effectively engage with clients and diverse stakeholder groups. 

  • Well-developed listening and questioning techniques, supported by strong analytical skills and organisational activities. 

  • Curious, keen to learn from others, able to operate independent and have a continuous improvement mindset.
