IQVIA is currently recruiting for a Market Research Analyst.

Location: Hybrid – Sydney NSW

Type: Permanent full time

This position sits within our Integrated Research Solutions team and assists businesses and other organisations in pharmaceutical, medical technology, and consumer health industries with their strategy by gathering and analysing primary insights as well as developing strategic and actionable recommendations. Provides high quality, on-time input to client market research projects in the life sciences field. Assignments range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving to assisting in the analysis of insights from more complex methodologies.

Essential functions

  • Under close supervision, assists with the review and analysis of client requirements or problems and assists in the development of client solutions.
  • Assists in the development of market research material to meet the client's objectives.
  • Proactive day to day project management – liaising with external suppliers for quotes, updates on job progress, data finalisation; managing fieldwork process for online surveys
  • Under close supervision, performs quantitative or qualitative analysis of primary research data/information to aid development of recommendations  
  • Proactive day to day project management – liaising with external suppliers for quotes, updates on job progress, data finalisation; managing fieldwork process for online surveys
  • Under close supervision, involved in qualitative interviews/focus group with healthcare practitioners and consumers/patients
  • Assists in the design / structure and completion of presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience.
  • Proactively develops a knowledge of consulting and market research methodologies and the life sciences market through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
  • Engagement based responsibilities are assigned and closely managed by Consultants, Senior Consultants, Associate Principals or Principals.

Qualifications and required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Marketing, market research/ Life Sciences).
  • Ideally 1-3 years relevant work experience in market research, including quantitative / qualitative methodology. We are, however, also open to university graduates.
  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
  • Knowledge of different market research methodologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline.
  • Analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
