This is an opportunity to join the Octopus Australia team in our Sydney office.

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager with a strong focus on operations and delivery to support the smooth running of our marketing activities. This person will manage the day-to-day execution of projects, coordinate timelines and approvals, track budgets, and maintain marketing systems and reporting. They’ll work closely with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to ensure projects and events are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and proactive in supporting the wider business function to keep projects on track and running seamlessly.

Job Description

  • Support the delivery of marketing programs by managing day-to-day operations, workflows, and marketing logistics.
  • Coordinate briefing, timelines, assets, and approvals to ensure marketing projects are executed on schedule and to a high standard.
  • Maintain and update marketing tools, systems, and databases to support project tracking and performance reporting.
  • Assist with budget management, including raising purchase orders, tracking spend, and reconciling invoices.
  • Work closely with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to support project setup, delivery, and analysis.
  • Ensure brand and content consistency across all materials, platforms, and communications.
  • Help organize and execute events, sponsorships, and partner activities, coordinating logistics and operational details.
  • Support continuous process improvement by identifying and implementing ways to streamline marketing operations.
  • Collaborate with the UK marketing team to ensure efficient delivery of marketing projects.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have some or all of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • You’ve worked in investments, financial services or another regulated industry – and you understand the nuance and compliance considerations involved.
  • You have 5+ years' experience in a similar marketing role with end-to-end campaign ownership.
  • You’re obsessed with quality - with strong attention to detail and a clear, confident communication style.
  • You’re an excellent stakeholder manager who knows how to influence, align, and collaborate with senior leaders.
  • You’re organised and reliable – able to juggle timelines across multiple projects without missing a beat.
  • You bring top-tier written and verbal communication skills and can distil complex ideas into clear, compelling messaging.
  • You’re data-driven and customer-focused - you want to truly understand our clients and what drives their decisions.
  • You’re bold, creative, and always looking to test, learn and innovate. You’re not afraid to try something new.
