As an Events Specialist within the LANGTONS Marketing team, report directly to the Marketing Manager - Events & Experiences.

In this dynamic role, you will organise premium events that make a lasting impact on existing and prospective wine enthusiasts, as well as emerging and established luxury cohorts.

Foremost, you will work to our strategic luxury visions and execute experiential marketing campaigns that meet established branding, revenue, GP, and customer acquisition goals. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a strong grasp of promotional strategies & a considered approach to brand awareness, with organizational skills that leave nothing about an event to chance.

Here's a snapshot of the responsibilities:

  • Manage total event execution from top-line strategic briefs, including venue sourcing, negotiation, wine transport, glassware logistics, menu selection, staffing, physical promotional materials, and managing on-site bump-in/tear-down.
  • Plan, brief, and implement targeted promotional activities (including social media and PR) within deadline and budgetary guidelines.
  • Manage digital ticket creation and availability via the LANGTONS website.
  • Own attendee communications via event management software (Zkipster) to manage expectations and capture dietary requirements. 
  • You will also liaise with LANGTONS Private Client Managers to ensure premium customers receive up-to-date information and pre-release event access.
  • Create event-specific run sheets, capture expenses, distribute feedback surveys, and tag attendees with relevant lead sources. 
  • You will coordinate closely with the warehouse and finance teams to ensure ticket sales are receipted, excess drinking stock is returned, and final success findings are submitted to executive committees.
  • Maintain highly positive and productive relationships with venues, suppliers, corporate partners, and external agencies, while remaining flexible to undertake periodic regional travel and occasional international travel.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • A Degree in public relations, communications, hospitality, or equivalent professional experience. 
  • You bring at least 3 years of experience at a coordinator level (or equivalent) with a proven track record in small-to-large-scale event management and P&L oversight.
  • You possess outstanding vendor management skills, excellent multi-tasking abilities, and proficiency across various event management software platforms. 
  • Your attention to detail ensures simple, structured, accurate, and robust project execution.
  • You bring expert interpersonal and marketing communication skills, allowing you to build trusted relationships within complex matrix structures and collaborate across internal teams (such as buying, auction, warehouse, finance, and PR) and external partners.
  • Highly curious and customer-centric, you remain composed and resilient under pressure, offer a creative approach to brand awareness, and navigate ambiguous environments with ease.
  • A genuine love of wine, a solid understanding of the fine wine industry, and previous experience with a luxury brand are highly preferred. 
  • Cognisant of Australia's diverse affluent cultural communities, networks within them, or experience in risk management and corporate social responsibility will set you apart.
