Join Downer’s team as a Meter Reader and enjoy an active, walking, outdoor role. 

You'll visit homes and businesses to collect utility meter readings (Gas, water, electricity), record data using a mobile device, and hit daily targets.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
  • The ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather
  • Strong time management skills and reliability
  • Good customer service skills and friendly communication
  • The motivation to work safely, follow schedules and get the job done right the first time

Full training is provided, including how to use the device to find meters and enter readings.
