Job Description

As a client-facing Integration Architect at NCS Australia, you will be the catalyst for a significant digital transformation by reimagining how a complex enterprise ecosystem connects. You won’t just manage existing systems; you will lead the evolution of a digital landscape, moving beyond current Power Automate and Synapse foundations to establish a premier enterprise integration capability on Microsoft Azure APIM. By defining API-first design patterns and creating robust governance frameworks, you will enable secure, real-time, straight-through processing (STP) across a diverse environment—bridging everything from Dynamics 365 (F&O, Sales, and Marketing) to specialised Treasury and Lending Management systems.

In this role you will work at the high-stakes intersection of finance and technology. Your remit involves architecting secure data-sharing pathways that facilitate critical integrations with internal portals, a Common Data Platform, and external banking partners. This is a deeply collaborative effort where you will partner with senior stakeholders to refine an enterprise reference architecture that ensures data flows seamlessly between internal operations and external financial systems. You will curate a pattern library—ranging from event-driven designs to complex orchestrations—ensuring that our collective "tomorrow" is built on a foundation of integration excellence.

Your legacy will be a sophisticated, Azure-native platform built for resilience and extreme security. Leveraging Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, and Data Factory, you will transition current message-driven integrations into a unified, scalable ecosystem. You will formalise the standards that protect sensitive financial data, embedding controls aligned with Essential Eight and ISM best practices while creating automated CI/CD publishing pathways. By establishing an intuitive API catalogue and developer portal, you ensure that this modernisation is discoverable and repeatable, providing the scaffolding and mentorship needed to uplift capability across the entire delivery team.

Qualifications

  • Azure Integration Mastery: Extensive experience architecting and implementing Azure API Management (APIM), including advanced policy design, versioning, and the creation of secure developer portals to enable seamless internal and external connectivity.

  • Modern Azure-Native Stack: Deep technical expertise in Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, and Azure Functions to transition legacy message-driven integrations into a scalable, real-time ecosystem.

  • Enterprise System Integration: Proven ability to connect complex platforms including Dynamics 365 (F&O, Sales, and Marketing), Treasury/Lending systems, and Common Data Platforms via Azure Data Factory and Synapse.

  • API-First & STP Strategy: A strong track record in designing high-performance, straight-through processing (STP) pathways and RESTful API contracts that bridge the gap between internal portals and external banking partners.

  • Australian Security Standards: Practical experience embedding Essential Eight, ISM, and PSPF controls into integration architectures to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and compliance.

  • DevOps & Observability Culture: Hands-on proficiency with Azure DevOps/GitHub for automated CI/CD publishing, alongside the implementation of robust monitoring via Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

  • Stakeholder Leadership: Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical "challenges" into actionable roadmaps, with a passion for mentoring teams and co-creating a culture of architectural excellence.
