Job Description

Ramsay Health Care is seeking an experienced National Manager, Hospitality Services to lead the operational performance, governance, and transformation of key hospital service functions across Australia. Reporting into the Director of Hotel Services, this national role will oversee critical non-clinical services that directly influence the patient experience and hospital operations, including housekeeping (cleaning), waste management, laundry, patient transport/portering, and security services. Working closely with hospital leaders, Procurement, suppliers, and operational teams, you will drive exceptional and consistent service standards, supplier performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across Ramsay’s national hospital network. This is a unique opportunity to shape how essential hospital services are delivered at scale - improving efficiency, quality, compliance, and patient experience while building strong partnerships with internal teams and external service providers.

What You’ll Do

You will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across Ramsay’s hospitality service functions, ensuring services are safe, efficient, and consistently delivered across the network.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Develop and embed national operational standards across cleaning, waste, laundry, patient transport, and security services.
  • Lead supplier performance management across outsourced services, working closely with Procurement to drive accountability, value, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with hospitals to improve service quality, consistency, and patient environment standards.
  • Establish performance frameworks, scorecards, reporting, and audit processes to measure and improve service delivery.
  • Act as the national escalation point for hospitals in driving supplier performance, service issues, and operational opportunities.
  • Drive improvements in waste management, sustainability, compliance, and cost optimisation.
  • Lead transformation initiatives, including digital solutions for cleaning, patient transport, workforce visibility, and service optimisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operating models, supply chains, and service delivery through innovation and best practice.
  • Partner with Facilities, Real Estate, Procurement, and hospital leadership teams to design and develop a single Ramsay hospital ward interior materials and finishes specification for use in future refurbishment and hospital build, optimising both patient experience and operational performance.
  • Support the development of national service frameworks for frontline hospitality teams, including capability, onboarding, and performance standards.

What You’ll Bring

You are an experienced operational leader with a strong background managing complex, multi-site service environments. You understand the importance of reliable, high-quality services in supporting exceptional customer and patient experiences.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Senior leadership experience within large-scale facilities management, healthcare services, hospitality, cleaning, logistics, or related environments.
  • Proven experience managing complex outsourced service models, supplier relationships, and commercial contracts.
  • Strong capability leading operational transformation, service redesign, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience developing performance frameworks, reporting structures, and operational scorecards.
  • Strong commercial understanding with the ability to balance cost, quality, compliance, and customer outcomes.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across large, distributed organisations.
  • A collaborative approach with experience partnering across Procurement, Operations, and frontline teams.

What We Offer

  • An attractive executive remuneration package, recognising the strategic impact and national scope of this leadership role.
  • Lead national transformation across essential hospital services that directly impact patient care and experience.
  • Significant leadership and professional development opportunities, with the ability to collaborate with senior executives and drive meaningful change across Ramsay’s national hospital network.
  • Access to an exclusive rewards program, offering premium discounts and benefits with leading national and global brands.
