About the Role
This role leads commercial growth and partnership expansion for the epay Australia Independent Route Sales team across Australia. The National Sales Manager, Australia is responsible for securing new venue partnerships, driving commercial strategy, expanding market footprint, and ensuring revenue targets are achieved through strategic engagement with retailers and corporate accounts. The role collaborates closely with IT, Provisioning, compliance, and executive teams to deliver high‑value outcomes.
Your Key Duties Will Include:
- Develop and execute national sales for the independent sales team for epay Australia
- Identify, qualify, and close new partnerships with retailers
- Lead commercial national negotiation including pricing, deal structuring and contract execution
- Own revenue forecasting, pipeline development, and sales performance reporting.
- Collaborate with product and delivery teams to ensure aligned go‑to‑market and integration planning.
- Represent epay Australia at industry events, conferences, and partner forums.
- Support market research, competitor analysis, and opportunity sizing for future growth.
- Support strategic accounts with expansion, renewals, and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Develop and improve scalable commercial playbooks for repeatable sales execution
Requirements
Skill/Experience and Requirements
- 10+ years in sales and/or business development role in payments and/or fintech, including scheme issuers and payment processors.
- Proven track record of closing complex commercial deals, at enterprise and SME and local levels.
- Experience working with payment providers and payment acquirers and regulators, and scheme card issuers Visa, Master card , AMEX, JBC etc..
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Experience with CRM and sales reporting systems.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to build business cases and manage large accounts.
- Demonstrated success in managing national or multi territory customer portfolios.
