Company Description

Let’s create a more sociable future together

At Endeavour, we’re totally into what we do. With a portfolio that includes Dan Murphy’s, BWS, ALH Hotels, Pinnacle Drinks and more, we love to bring people together. Together we share our passion for our products and industry; it’s what inspires us to dream big, and continue to create new experiences for our customers and teams across Australia. If you thrive on positive energy, we want to meet you!

Job Description

  • Bring your passion and feel the energy
  • High-Impact Strategic & Commercial Ownership
  • Enterprise Change Leadership & Transformation

We are seeking a National Workforce Planning & Productivity Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Retail Workforce Planning and Labour Optimisation, you will be the driving execution and change management engine that translates corporate workforce strategy into store-level reality—ensuring our labour investment aligns strategically with customer demand, commercial performance, and compliance obligations.

In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between complex transformation and daily store operations. You will maintain the integrity of engineered labour standards, deliver data-driven bottom-up wage budgets, and lead targeted automation, centralisation, and productivity initiatives that directly optimize EBIT across Dan Murphy’s and BWS.

Sound good? Read on.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Operationalise our 3–5 year retail labour strategy and deploy complex, network-wide productivity streams across 1,650+ sites.
  • Own end-to-end development of data-driven, bottom-up wage budgets and wage-to-sales forecasting models. Constructively challenge retail business units to align wage outcomes with Enterprise Agreements and EBIT goals.
  • Maintain and optimise engineered labour standards and productivity databases alongside internal and external technology partners.
  • Conceptualise operational analytics, identify structural labour mix opportunities, and track productivity overlays.
  • Partner with IT and Transformation teams to ensure WFM solutions (e.g., UKG) accurately reflect live business processes and demand-driven scheduling principles.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a specialized team (including Process Engineering and Rostering Leads). Act as the primary enterprise coach to uplift store-based capability and demand-led rostering practices nationally.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Retail Operations, Finance, and Transformation while guiding senior retail leaders through operating model redesigns

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

You are analytically minded, deeply curious, and pragmatic - balancing sophisticated financial modelling with the daily realities of a fast-paced retail environment. Composed under pressure, you are passionate about protecting store team experiences, compliance, and Voice of Customer (VoC) metrics.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven track record leading a Workforce Planning function in a large multi-site retail, service, or customer-facing organisation.
  • Demonstrated history of managing, coaching, and developing specialist teams and driving project outcomes.
  • Specialist skills in industrial engineering methodologies (e.g., MOST, activity sampling, time study) paired with strong financial acumen and bottom-up wage budgeting experience.
  • Proficient with enterprise WFM systems (e.g., UKG) and ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and Fair Work operational compliance.
  • Strong analytical and data-modelling skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and intrastate as needed.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in transformation/project environments and matrix organisations.
  • Prior experience executing large-scale WFM process and system rollouts with external business suppliers.

The benefits are good too!

  • An exclusive discount card for our ALH Hotels pubs & accommodation, BWS, Dan Murphy’s and other Endeavour Group brands. Through our partnership with Woolworths, you'll also enjoy discounts at Woolies supermarkets and BIG W
  • As a valued member of the team, your health and wellbeing is our top priority. You will have access to a range of free services to help you live well and support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
  • Endeavour Group is full of opportunities - use our dedicated learning and development options to grow an idea, yourself, and your career. This is just the start, so dream big
