What you get to do in this role

  • Operate and troubleshoot multi-vendor network to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Validate problem descriptions and perform detailed problem diagnosis; track and update problems in trouble-ticketing system.
  • Perform investigations into functionality that is not working as desired.
  • Review, consult and prepare for planned change introduction to production environment.
  • Partner with teams to plan and execute software code upgrades and device maintenance.
  • Maintain automations to investigate and resolve alerts and issues on the network
  • Maintain internal tools to assist with operating the network infrastructure at scale
  • Provide feedback to infrastructure architects on design issues or improvements and input into the design process for new initiatives.
  • Design and deploy networks based on business and technical requirements.
  • Partner with project and program managers to meet overall timelines and resolution of issues.

To be considered for this role, we are after someone with

  • The candidate should have 2+ years of experience with a good foundation in networking including routing, switching, security and load balancing. The following is a list of requirements for this role:
    • Routing (BGP/OSPF/ISIS/MPLS)
    • Switching
    • Juniper/Cisco experience
    • Load Balancers
    • Firewall
    • Nice to have:
      • Automation: Ansible/Python
      • Linux
  • Good at performing troubleshooting in fast-paced environment under pressure by understanding nature of issue or traffic flow based on information shared by non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with TCP/IP protocols including capturing and analyzing traffic with Wireshark and/or other tools.
  • Possess a good understanding of and have experience with most of the following network technologies: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, SNMP etc.
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS/NX-OS, JunOS, PAN-OS/FortiOS operating systems required.
  • Ability to work and troubleshoot on multi-vendor network comprising of Cisco, Juniper, Pal Alto, ADC etc.
  • Experience with one or more cloud computing technologies (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform, etc.), automation/scripting & Linux is big plus
  • Perform weekend shift(s) or participate in rotating "on call" schedule with other members of the team including weekends.
  • Ability to utilize network monitoring applications such Cacti, Splunk
  • Ability to partner with peers who are globally distributed.
  • Passion for customer experiences and focus on delivering high quality support.
  • Strong communication skills and empathy for customers.
  • Ability to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.
