About the role 

DP World is seeking a Network Engineering Specialist on 2-year Max Term contract to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performing network systems that support our organisation's strategic goals. In this role, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle of network hardware and software, lead system upgrades, and ensure reliability, security, and scalability across our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network and security infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and minimal disruption to business operations
  • Proactively maintain and improve network systems through monitoring, patching, upgrades, capacity planning, backups, and preventative maintenance
  • Provide advanced (Level 2 and 3) technical support to quickly resolve network issues and reduce operational impact
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, security models, and operational procedures
  • Promote and apply best practices in network security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver effective and timely network and security solutions that support business and project needs

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

  • Cisco CCNP, CCSP, or CCDP certification, ITIL Foundation, and a tertiary/degree qualification in Information Technology
  • Strong experience with Cisco hardware and enterprise network infrastructure
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and Level 3 support experience with Citrix Netscalers, F5 Load Balancers, and Fortigate firewalls
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VPN, DNS, etc.)
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex network and security environments
  • Experience leading large-scale network projects in corporate settings
  • Solid planning, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of service levels (SLAs)
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to learn, travel, and support evolving business needs
