Operations Managers – Kemps Creek NSW– Amazon Account 

About the role and opportunity –  

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daytoday warehouse and distribution centre operations at our Amazon Kemps Creek site. 

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and costeffective operation of the DC, delivering service excellence while meeting performance, safety and financial targets. This is a senior, handson leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fastpaced, highvolume environments and is passionate about people, safety and continuous improvement. 

This pivotal role is responsible for delivering high-quality logistics services to our customers, ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term business growth. 

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to - 

  • Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution operations to meet service and financial targets.  

  • Plan and coordinate resources to ensure labour, equipment and systems are utilised efficiently. 

  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and enhancing service outcomes.  

  • Investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.  

  • Ensure all site processes, procedures and standards are documented, implemented and adhered to. 

  • Act as point of escalation for operational issues and support audits, inspections and reviews. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support growth and operational excellence.  

 

 

What We’re Looking for to Drive Success  

  • Experience or exposure in a 3PL environment – understanding third-party logistics and client service delivery.  

  • Strong knowledge of warehousing and distribution best practice, WMS and labour optimisation.  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach performance and foster a collaborative site culture.  

  • Sound understanding of safety, legislative and compliance requirements.  

  • Strong problemsolving skills with a solutionsfocused mindset.  

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
