A growing specialist legal practice is looking to add an experienced Career Paralegal to its team, supporting lawyers across a broad range of property, lending and transactional matters.
This opportunity would suit someone with a strong background in mortgage lending, settlements or conveyancing who enjoys running processes end-to-end and being a key part of a collaborative and fast-moving team.
The role offers genuine variety, close interaction with lawyers and clients, and the opportunity to become a valued long-term member of the practice.
The Role
Working closely with senior practitioners, you will assist across a range of matters including:
- Residential and commercial conveyancing transactions
- Mortgage and lending matters
- Preparation and management of settlement documentation
- Liaising with banks, brokers, clients and external parties
- File and matter management from commencement through to settlement
- Preparing correspondence, documents and precedent packs
- Conducting searches and coordinating settlements
- Managing key dates, workflow and administrative processes
- Supporting lawyers with transactional and client-facing work as required
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of files and being heavily involved in the day-to-day running of matters.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Career Paralegal, Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar property/lending support role
- A background in mortgage, banking, lending or conveyancing matters
- Strong organisational and file management skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence liaising with clients and external stakeholders
- A proactive and team-focused approach
- The ability to work autonomously while remaining collaborative
Experience using practice management systems and settlement platforms will be highly regarded.
