The Partner Marketing Manager is a business strategic thinker, executor, and leader in Partner + Marketing initiatives, often leading complex projects, cross-functional, and broader company-wide initiatives. Deep understanding of business value propositions and better together positioning with assigned focus partners. Owns, builds and drives the strategies and plans with specific assigned focus partners / partner types. Builds and executes Partner + Marketing initiatives, campaigns or programs leveraging templates and frameworks working closely with cross-functional teams.

Experience: 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree

Core Responsibilities

Partner Marketing Execution & Support:

  • Joint Campaign Planning: Collaborate with partners to design and execute joint marketing campaigns, such as webinars, events, or digital advertising.

  • Asset Creation: Develop co-branded materials like whitepapers, solution briefs, and social media content

  • Funding Support: Manage Market Development Funds (MDF) to financially support partner-led marketing initiatives

  • Work with the regional marketing team to identify opportunities to incorporate focus partners into existing Okta-led initiatives

  • Coordinate with the APJ Strategic Partner Marketing Manager on logistical tasks related to GSI and CSP partners as directed.

Relationship & Event Execution:

  • Serve as a primary marketing contact for a set of focus partners, assisting the APJ Partner Marketing Lead with relationship maintenance and communication

  • Build and execute for key in-region events, including:

    • Partner Connects and Partner Forum events in ANZ in alignment with APJ lead

    • Key in region Tech Alliance events, such as: AWS Summits

  • Showcasing Partner Success: Highlight partner achievements and solutions through case studies, blogs, or videos.

  • Regular Communications: Ensure ongoing communications with partners, sharing product updates, new campaigns, and marketing best practices.

Demand Generation:

  • Collaborative Demand Generation: Work with partners to create demand-generation campaigns and events aimed at attracting and converting leads.

  • Lead Sharing and Tracking: Facilitate the process for lead sharing between the company and its partners, ensuring accountability and follow-through.

Reporting:

  • Tracking ROI: Measure the effectiveness of partner marketing initiatives in driving pipeline, revenue, and adoption.

  • Feedback Loops: Use data and partner feedback to refine strategies and improve program outcomes.

Internal Team Alignment & Planning

  • Collaboration with Sales: Work closely with the partner sales team to align marketing initiatives with revenue goals.

  • Integrated GTM Planning: Work closely with Marketing Pod teams to embed partner marketing strategies into global and theater level plans. 

  • Product Marketing Integration: Ensure partner messaging aligns with the company’s broader product positioning and GTM strategy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Campaign Execution: Successful on-time and on-budget delivery of assigned co-branded marketing activities.

  • Partner Activation: Number of assigned partners actively utilising co-marketing materials or participating in joint campaigns.

  • MDF Process Compliance: Aligning closely with MDF Administrator for timely submission of MDF claims for executed activities.

  • Pipeline Support: Contribution to the team's partner-attached pipeline goal through assigned execution activities
