About Brighte

Our mission is to make consumer energy resources (CER) affordable and accessible for everyone.

Brighte is building the platform to enable and accelerate the energy transition by making it affordable, easy and less risky to buy and sell energy equipment.

Our founder and CEO, Katherine McConnell, has been awarded Telstra Businesswoman of the year in 2020 as well as winning the Sustainability Crusader award at B&T's 2023 Women Leading Tech Awards. She is a passionate and humble leader who has a human first approach to business.

As a business in 2025, we have been named a AFR Sustainability Leader within the Banking and Finance category and won the inaugural Sustainability Award at the Affies in 2024!

What You’ll Do

  • Vendor activation. Convert every signed vendor into a productive one within 30 days. Run onboarding sessions (live and recorded), enable vendors and make the first-lead handover call, fix anything that breaks in the first 60 days.
  • Day-to-day vendor operations. First point of contact for vendor escalations across programs. Triage stuck applications, settlement queries, lead disputes. Resolve issues by coordinating with internal Tech, Settlements, Customer Support, and external partners.
  • Vendor enablement. Maintain the vendor-facing knowledge base including flyers, FAQs, training videos, portal status copy. Train internal teams (Care, Settlements) on dispute handling. Make every piece of knowledge a Loom or an SOP so it isn't trapped in your head.
  • Voice of the vendor. Share insights from the vendors or collated from the BDM sales team on vendor feedback - what’s working vs not working. Provide recommendations on how to improve process and remove friction points.
  • Vendor performance & risk. Track activation rate, time-to-first-lead, conversion, vendor NPS across all three programs. Spot at-risk vendors and intervene early. Flag vendors hurting partner experience.
  • Acquisition targeting (not execution). Set quarterly acquisition target lists for the BDM team — which postcodes, categories and named vendors each program needs. Run the joint cadence with the BDM Lead.
  • Program operating model. Support partner governance forums (Pantheon WIP, OVO ops, E2515 stewardship). Land SOPs agreed at those forums.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years in vendor operations, channel / partner ops, or B2B customer success
  • Track record of running a vendor / partner queue with SLAs, not just doing the work, building the system
  • Calm under pressure, firm on standards. Comfortable telling a vendor no.
  • Numerate — at home in dashboards, comfortable querying vendor performance data without help
  • You use AI to multiply your output, not just assist it - automating the repeatable, moving faster on the complex, and building systems that keep working when you're not in the room.
  • Bonus: solar / battery / energy industry context; familiarity with Australian installer landscape; partnerships background

Our hiring process

We use AI every day at Brighte, and we hire people who do too. Every role includes a short assessment that shows us how you put AI to work, use whatever tool you're most comfortable with, there's no trick to it.

Background and reference checks (police, AML, bankruptcy) come towards the end. We use AI in parts of our recruitment process, but final decisions are made by humans.

What's in it for you

A front-row seat to Australia's energy transition. Brighte finances and electrifies homes at scale — solar, batteries, hot water, heating — and our enterprise partners are central to this.

On top of that:

  • Hybrid working. 3 days in office, 2 from home.
  • We love our Socials - lunches, drinks, snacks, table tennis, a properly stocked pantry, and the company of people you actually like.
  • Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP). Share in Brighte's success.
  • End-of-trip facilities for cyclists, including showers and towel service.
  • Anniversary leave. An extra day off each year to mark your time with us.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region. More specifically, its IT sector stands out as the country's third-largest, growing at twice the rate of overall employment in the past decade as businesses continue to digitize their operations to stay competitive.
