We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Partsperson to join our team in Mount Isa and will play a vital role in the efficient movement and management of parts within the branch and is primarily stores and warehouse focused. This is a Permanent, Monday-to-Friday position.

What you’ll be doing
As a Partsperson at Hastings Deering, you will:

  • Receiving & Stock Control – Receive, unpack and check incoming parts and stock to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Order Fulfilment – Pick, pack and dispatch parts efficiently for workshop and field service teams.
  • Inventory Management – Manage stock replenishment, conduct cycle counts and support inventory control processes.
  • Warehouse Operations – Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Safety & Housekeeping – Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment at all times.
  • Freight & Logistics Support – Assist with freight coordination and internal deliveries across the branch.
  • Systems & Tracking – Use inventory management systems to accurately track stock movements.
  • Operational Support – Support branch operations to minimise downtime for technicians and customers.

What you’ll need:  

A successful teammate will have experience in: 

  • Relevant Experience – Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or parts environment, ideally within mining, heavy equipment or industrial settings.
  • Attention to Detail – A strong focus on accuracy, organisation and safety in all tasks.
  • Forklift Capability – A current high‑risk work forklift licence and confidence operating forklifts and warehouse equipment to support efficient parts movement.
  • Systems & Technology – Basic computer skills with experience using inventory management systems.
  • Team & Independent Work – The ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as autonomously while following established processes.
  • Proactive Mindset – A reliable, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and willingness to contribute.
