Job Description

Your Opportunity

We're looking for a Payment Industry Compliance Manager to join our Payment Industry Compliance & Risk Enablement team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in embedding payment industry compliance frameworks across Product, ensuring regulatory and scheme obligations are understood, prioritised and effectively managed within an agile delivery environment. 

You will work closely with Product Domains, Enterprise Technology Services, Client Growth, Group Risk & Compliance, as well as key external industry bodies including AP+, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, UPI and AusPayNet.

You'll also make an impact by:

  • Reviewing payment scheme mandates, bulletins and regulatory changes, assessing impacts and supporting implementation across the business.
  • Managing compliance frameworks, obligations registers, reporting, audits, attestations and monitoring activities to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Building strong relationships with industry bodies and internal stakeholders while driving compliance maturity, risk awareness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

You're an experienced compliance professional with strong knowledge of the payments landscape and a passion for helping organisations navigate complex regulatory and scheme obligations.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' compliance or regulatory experience within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of payment schemes, industry bodies and compliance obligations. 
  • Experience working within agile product or technology delivery environments. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills. 
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability and attention to detail. 

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have:

  • Experience with New Payments Platform (NPP) and BPAY scheme compliance under Australian Payments Plus (AP+). 
  • Knowledge of payment industry processes, systems and emerging regulatory trends.
