Your role

You'll be a part of our Finance team based in Sydney. As a Payroll Coordinator you will:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and payroll administration activities.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data within payroll and HR systems.
  • Process payroll transactions, including new starters, terminations, leave, salary changes and allowances.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities.
  • Respond to employee payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support compliance with payroll legislation, awards, taxation and superannuation requirements.
  • Assist with payroll audits and documentation requirements.
  • Contribute to payroll process improvements and system enhancements.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.


About you

You will have:

  • A minimum of three years' payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience using the iChris payroll system is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and data reconciliation.
  • A solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including PAYG withholding, the Superannuation Guarantee, leave entitlements and payroll compliance obligations.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet payroll deadlines.
