The wealth management business consists of three distinct brands in addition to Perpetual Private – Fordham, Jacaranda financial planning and Priority Life – offering a unique mix of wealth management, advice and trustee services. With a diverse range of capabilities including strategic advice on superannuation and retirement planning, general investment, asset protection, insurance, tax management, estate planning, aged care, social security, succession planning and philanthropy. About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager the Payroll Manager is responsible for the operational management of payroll services, overseeing payroll delivery for around 500 Perpetual Wealth employees. The role will focus on operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, team leadership and continuous process improvement to ensure a high-quality payroll experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll processing for the business.

  • Drive best-practice payroll operations focused on accuracy, service excellence and compliance.

  • Implement processes, systems and reporting improvements that enhance the efficiency and quality.

  • Partner with Finance and People & Culture to resolve payroll matters and support remuneration programs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 5+ years' experience managing end-to-end payroll in a standalone or senior payroll role.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and STP requirements.

  • Experience interpreting awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts.

  • Strong payroll reconciliation, reporting and payroll accounting capability.

  • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, Employment Hero or similar.

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.

  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related discipline desirable.
