Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

You will be responsible for supporting the Manager of Payroll across all aspects of the national payroll function for TJX Australia. This includes processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for over 5000 employees across retail stores, head office and the warehouse.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data entry of new associates and employment changes
  • Data entry of time-off/absence applications of weekly and monthly associates
  • Processing termination and ad-hoc payments
  • Reconciling leave calculations and entitlements
  • Interpreting awards, agreements and contracts
  • End to End Payroll and Superannuation processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
  • Maintenance of personnel files and other sensitive, confidential information
  • Assist with reconciliation of Workers Compensation payments
  • Assist with month end reporting and associated journals
  • Resolve any payroll queries with a strong customer service mindset

Please note this is a 12 month FTC

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES

  • Hands on experience in a high-volume transactional payroll
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced environment whilst balancing competing tasks
  • Experience in interpreting Award/EBAs and understanding current payroll related legislations
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytic skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A growth mindset, with the ability to seek out, take on and adapt to feedback
  • Strong problem-solving mentality and ability to handle unique situations
  • Experience with Sage MicrOpay, Workday and UKG Dimensions highly desirable
