We currently have an exciting opportunity for a People Business Partner to join our People & Capability function on a permanent full-time basis.

 

Job Description

About the role

As the People Business Partner, you will provide end-to-end HR and employee relations advice to leaders and employees over allocated divisions, partnering closely with Executive, Senior Leaders and broader remit stakeholders to support as an effective Business Partner.

You will also contribute to broader people initiatives and work collaboratively with the wider People and Capability team to deliver high quality HR solutions to a range of stakeholders.

You will also:

  • Coach and mentor people leaders across performance management, recruitment and selection, talent management, succession planning, remuneration, and role design.
  • Provide high‑quality industrial and employee relations advice, including performance management, investigations, grievances, disciplinary action, terminations and redundancies.
  • Support and conduct complex workplace investigations where required.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of employment law, modern awards and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance and manage risk.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HR Advisory and HR Administration, Learning and Organisational Development) to resolve HR‑related matters.
  • Assist in driving a high‑performance, values‑based work culture across the organisation.
  • Analyse people trends and metrics to inform solutions, programs and workforce planning.

Qualifications

About you

  • Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial/Employee Relations.
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment, providing human resources and/or employee relations advice and business partnering. 
  • Understanding of federal employment legislation and applicable state legislation. 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of workplace investigations. 
  • Demonstrated capacity to promote and uphold the organisation’s values, including being able to show discretion and confidentiality. 
  • Ability to prioritise and manage large workloads with tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and build effective relationships.
