This role sits within our Employee Experience team as part of the broader People & Culture business unit. Our team is accountable for how our people experience REA across every moment that matters – from joining, growing and developing, through to moving on. We bring together people operations, platforms, reporting and experience design to deliver simple, scalable and human‑centred services that make it easy for employees and leaders to get things done.

We partner across People & Culture and the broader business to design end‑to‑end experiences, run high‑quality people services, and ensure our people technology, data and processes are fit for a growing, global organisation. Our focus is on balancing employee experience, risk, cost and scalability so our people can do their best work and feel supported throughout their REA journey. The People Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting & optimising REA’s Workday environment and broader People Platforms ecosystem.

What the role is all about

  • Support the ongoing operation and optimisation of Workday and connected people systems, with a focus on reliability, data quality and user experience
  • Maintain configuration across relevant Workday modules (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Absence & Time Tracking), including tenant setup, business processes, security, integrations, reporting and mass data activities
  • Support exploration and adoption of new platform capability, including AI-enabled features and other opportunities to improve how work gets done
  • Work alongside our stakeholders to understand business needs, solve problems and deliver fit-for-purpose platform improvements
  • Investigate issues, assess impacts and translate requirements into practical system changes, workarounds or recommendations
  • Coordinate release activity, testing and deployment to ensure changes are implemented safely and effectively
  • Manage requests and system incidents end to end, escalating where needed and keeping stakeholders informed
  • Contribute to process simplification, automation and self-service improvements that reduce manual effort and improve employee and leader experience
  • Represent the People Systems team on key projects for People & Culture

Who we’re looking for

  • Broad knowledge of the HR Tech landscape
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience configuring Workday HCM (in-house or consulting) across multiple functional areas as listed above
  • Proven experience configuring business processes, security, reporting and data loads; exposure to integrations is an advantage.
  • Understanding of people processes and how they translate into practical system design
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, manage requests, ticketing triage and resolution
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and prioritisation skills, with the ability to balance BAU support and project delivery
  • A proactive, curious and detail -oriented approach, with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong focus on user experience.
  • Experience with (or displayed interest in) automations, AI best practice & agents is advantageous
