About the Opportunity & Team

This role sits within our Commercial & Operations team in Sydney, covering a 10-month maternity leave replacement starting in November 2026.

At Teads, we connect top-tier brands and publishers on the open web through high-impact programmatic media, cutting-edge creative tech, and connected TV (CTV) solutions. As Performance Director, you will act as the strategic subject-matter expert and commercial anchor for our mid- and low-funnel performance products; spanning native, display, and CTV across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, ANZ, you will work hand-in-hand with our Sales, Demand Operations, Client Services, and Publishing teams. You will drive performance discussions, elevate strategic client pitches, and ensure our performance suite delivers maximum commercial ROI for our agency and brand partners across ANZ.

About the Role

As Performance Director, your primary mission is to bridge sales opportunities and operational execution for Teads' performance suite across ANZ. You will own the strategic positioning of our performance solutions across Australia and New Zealand, translating complex programmatic capabilities into clear, high-converting commercial propositions.

Success in this role means positioning Teads as a trusted performance partner, supporting the Sales team in winning and scaling performance budgets, and ensuring flawless campaign strategy and alignment across operational teams.

What You’ll Do

Commercial Strategy & Sales Enablement

  • Partner closely with the Sales and Operational teams across ANZ to support and elevate all client conversations related to Teads' performance products.
  • Architect compelling performance strategies, responses to RFPs, and proactive pitches for mid- and low-funnel opportunities across native, display, and CTV.
  • Articulate Teads' value proposition for performance advertising on the open web, converting complex tech capabilities into clear commercial advantages for clients.

Product & Campaign Strategy

  • Drive adoption and campaign effectiveness for Teads’ performance capabilities, guiding internal teams on best practices for programmatic bidding, conversion optimization, and targeting.
  • Analyze performance campaign metrics and operational inputs to optimize ongoing strategies, extract actionable insights, and unlock incremental revenue opportunities.
  • Bridge the gap between client performance KPIs and Teads' operational execution, ensuring strategic alignment from initial pitch to final delivery.

Stakeholder Management & Market Education

  • Serve as the primary subject-matter expert on performance solutions for internal teams, tier-1 media agencies, and direct brand clients across ANZ.
  • Educate internal sales and operations teams on emerging digital performance trends, CTV performance integration, and open web programmatic dynamics.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with agency trading desks, performance leads, and AdTech partners to expand Teads' performance footprint across Australia and New Zealand.
What You’ll Get

At Teads, your scope is bigger than your title. Here is what you can count on in return:

  • Meaningful scope & real ownership with direct accountability for shaping Teads' performance narrative across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Global exposure and complex challenges that leverage real-world scale reaching 2.2Bn users monthly and 18Bn daily ad opportunities across the open web and CTV.
  • Smart, ambitious peers and collaborate with a high-performing, supportive, and cross-functional team across ANZ and the wider APAC region.
  • A genuinely human culture, a work environment defined by high care alongside high accountability.
What Will You Bring to the Team?

Must-Haves (The Baseline Bar)

  • Core Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital performance media, with a proven track record in agency, publisher, or AdTech environments in Australia or New Zealand.
