Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions and implementation strategies to drive adoption of standardised engineering tooling, automation patterns, and self-service workflows.
- Own and continuously enhance the engineering golden path catalogue, ensuring patterns and automation assets remain current, discoverable, and fit for purpose.
- Drive automation and orchestration adoption across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Partner with engineering, platform, security, and business stakeholders to align tooling investments with strategic priorities.
- Deliver Centre of Excellence outcomes through both technical leadership and hands-on execution.
- Define and communicate engineering tooling and automation roadmaps in partnership with senior technology leaders.
- Embed security, compliance, and governance requirements into engineering platforms and delivery frameworks by design.
- Design and enable self-service onboarding and lifecycle management capabilities for engineering teams.
- Act as a trusted SME for engineering tools, DevSecOps, automation, and platform engineering practices.
- Drive continuous improvement through adoption metrics, stakeholder feedback, and lessons learned.
- Uplift organisational engineering maturity through standards, communities of practice, coaching, and enablement activities.

- Strong understanding of modern engineering tooling ecosystems, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate, and recommend tooling solutions across diverse engineering environments.
- Experience influencing engineering practices and driving adoption without direct ownership of platforms or tools.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into practical implementation outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of engineering governance, security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Experience working in complex enterprise technology environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Ability to balance technical depth, commercial considerations, and delivery outcomes.
- Strong leadership capability, with experience guiding teams, influencing decisions, and driving change through expertise.
- Experience establishing or operating Engineering Centres of Excellence.
- Expertise in cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, developer platforms, and automation orchestration.
- Experience implementing developer self-service capabilities and internal developer platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and platform engineering practices.
