The client is in the middle of an exciting phase of growth where enhancing our technologies for mass scale is at the top of our priority list and this role will be critical in ensuring we achieve our goals.
Essential Skills & Experience:
▪ PLC / Embedded Technologies
- Note that currently each WasteMaster consists of a Siemens S7-1200 series PLC
for machine control, developed using Step 7 / TIA Portal. The HMI is a Weintek MT-8090XE series, developed using a tool called EasyBuilder Pro. - These and other components are currently under review for potential change to an enhanced future state.
- Experience with a variety of machines at different stages of development
- Electrical drawing control management
- Experience with identifying areas for improvement and implementing them in an effective and collaborative way
- Experience with working within a multifaceted team environment including operations, technology and sales

Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Director and working in coordination with our IT and Software Manager, the Electrical and Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design and development of control software for integration into the client's products and services
- Improving the automation capability of the WasteMaster to reduce remote and on-site intervention
- Providing technical support in the event of WasteMaster breakdowns
- Developing enhanced data analytics and reporting capabilities
- Ensuring strict electrical and software drawing control is adhered to for all WasteMasters
