What is the focus of the role?

As a Collaboration Portfolio Enablement Senior Specialist, you'll help shape the future of Telstra Enterprise's Collaboration and Industry portfolios by ensuring customer needs, market intelligence and commercial priorities are reflected in the products and capabilities we take to market. Working across multiple business functions, you'll help connect long-term business priorities with practical portfolio outcomes, supporting informed decision-making and driving alignment across the organisation.

Your ability to bring together diverse perspectives, identify emerging opportunities and influence strategic conversations will play an important role in helping Telstra Enterprise remain competitive in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across strategy, innovation and customer engagement while influencing meaningful outcomes without relying on formal authority.

About the role

The Collaboration Portfolio Enablement Senior Specialist plays a key role in supporting the strategic direction of Telstra Enterprise's Collaboration and Industry portfolios.

You'll work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Technology and Strategy teams to ensure portfolio priorities remain aligned with customer expectations, market opportunities and Telstra's long-term vision. Through strong collaboration and commercial thinking, you'll contribute to portfolio planning, enable innovation and help drive initiatives that deliver value for both customers and the business.

What you'll be doing:Support strategic portfolio planning
  • Contribute to the evolution of Telstra Enterprise's Collaboration and Industry portfolio strategy through customer, market and partner insights.

  • Maintain a prioritised 12–24 month portfolio roadmap aligned to business priorities.

  • Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities that influence future portfolio direction.

  • Ensure portfolio initiatives are linked to measurable business outcomes.

Enable cross-functional delivery
  • Build alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Technology teams.

  • Coordinate portfolio planning activities, governance forums and stakeholder engagement.

  • Support reporting and performance tracking across strategic initiatives.

  • Help facilitate effective decision-making through structured portfolio governance.

Champion customer and market insights
  • Engage with customers, technology partners and internal stakeholders to understand emerging needs.

  • Translate market, analyst and competitor insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Ensure customer feedback influences future portfolio direction and investment decisions.

Drive innovation
  • Explore emerging technologies and partnership opportunities that support future growth.

  • Lead or contribute to innovation initiatives, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.

  • Help shape new propositions and strategic portfolio opportunities.

Support executive decision-making
  • Develop executive presentations, briefing papers and strategic recommendations.

  • Provide clear, evidence-based insights to support portfolio investment decisions.

  • Maintain visibility of portfolio priorities, progress and strategic direction.

About you

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience supporting portfolio strategy, business planning or commercial initiatives within a complex organisation.

  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to evaluate opportunities and support investment decisions.

  • Experience interpreting customer, market and industry insights to influence strategic outcomes.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across Product, Sales, Marketing, Technology and Strategy.

  • Excellent communication skills, including experience preparing executive briefings and recommendations.

  • Proven ability to work across matrix organisations and build alignment without direct authority.

  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Ideally, you'll also have experience in
  • Telecommunications, enterprise technology or managed services environments.

  • Collaboration technologies including Calling, SIP Trunking, Contact Centre solutions and Industry Solutions.

  • Emerging technologies such as Agentic AI and next-generation collaboration platforms.

  • Business modelling, financial analysis and portfolio performance reporting.

  • Using data and market insights to support strategic planning and portfolio investment decisions.
