Reporting to our Senior Manager PR & Communications -  The PR & ICONIC Events Lead is an integral part of our Customer team. This role is responsible for leading consumer PR and our most ICONIC brand events. If “front‑page feature” and “packed‑out activation” are your love language, then this is the role for you. 

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Drive Consumer Press (incl. organic social)

  • Own and execute consumer PR strategy across print, digital, social and influencers.
  • Run day‑to‑day of the consumer PR agency (EVH) to deliver against goals.
  • Own the PR calendar and keep an always‑on press office for TI.

Corporate Comms

  • Support Senior Communications & PR Managers on corporate and business storytelling.
  • Lead LinkedIn comms in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
  • Stay across industry/trade and competitor news; flag opportunities and risks.

Media Relations

  • Build and nurture priority media relationships to secure quality coverage.
  • Draft and refine PR materials: briefs, key messages and press releases 

Event Planning & Execution 

  • Lead, plan and execute the 4 x key ICONIC’ Brand / GTM and relevant Partner events to drive customer engagement and BP revenue 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to organise and ensure successful execution and cohesive campaign approaches.
  • Support on additional events delivered  across other functions 

Media Monitoring & Reporting 

  • Track and report on PR and event metrics to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Remain vigilant in media monitoring for both TI and competitor news.
  • Draft monthly PR reports in collaboration with agency.
  • Share monthly reports to wider business and cross functional customer team (build education)

Key skills & experience

  • 5+ years’ PR & Events experience (mid/big agency or in‑house).
  • Daily interaction with Australian and New Zealand media; you love pitching.
  • Deep consumer PR knowledge across news, lifestyle, fashion, beauty and trade; strong on brand and data‑driven storytelling.
  • Track record in socially led campaigns: impactful event activations and strategic influencer concepts that earn coverage.
  • Strong industry connections and reliable media relationships.
  • Insatiably curious about media, social and influencer culture; always on top of trends, events and personalities.
  • Able to work autonomously, multi‑task and problem‑solve.
  • Genuine love for all things THE ICONIC and ICONIC events
