About the Role – Principal Consultant, Data & Analytics
As a Principal Consultant – Data & Analytics at Innovior, you'll play a key role in transforming how our clients harness data to enhance performance, spark innovation, and make strategic decisions.
This is an exciting, hands-on, client-facing leadership position where you'll guide organizations in designing and delivering modern, scalable data platforms. You'll work across a variety of industries, architecting impactful data solutions using cutting-edge technologies and frameworks like Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and Spark.
You will be instrumental in shaping end-to-end engagements—from the initial discovery and strategic planning phases to the technical design and delivery of robust data ecosystems. With your deep technical expertise and strong consulting skills, you'll become a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping to drive meaningful and measurable outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead Data Engineering Delivery: Architect and implement modular, scalable pipelines using Medallion architecture principles across batch and streaming workloads. Apply best practices in orchestration, CI/CD, and reusable component design.
Client Advisory & Strategy: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business goals and craft tailored data strategies. Lead discovery sessions and executive briefings, translating business challenges into actionable data roadmaps.
Solution Ownership: Drive the end-to-end design of enterprise-grade data solutions, ensuring alignment with data governance, maturity, and enterprise architecture.
Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and quality assurance across delivery teams. Guide the implementation of Data Mesh principles and ensure engineering excellence.
Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of data trends and emerging technologies to inform internal capability growth and client recommendations. Contribute to Innovior’s reputation as a trusted leader in Data & AI.
Pre-sales & Practice Growth: Work alongside Sales and Consulting teams to shape proposals, estimates, and prototypes. Contribute to go-to-market assets and delivery accelerators.
Team Development: Coach and develop consultants and engineers across technical and consulting capabilities. Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
Commercial Focus: Identify new opportunities within engagements, support the design of commercial models, and ensure value is delivered in line with business and profitability goals.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in leading the design and delivery of large-scale data engineering or analytics initiatives.
Deep knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Spark).
Strong consulting skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and shape strategic conversations.
Understanding of data governance, data architecture, and cloud-native solution design.
A passion for mentoring, enabling teams, and contributing to a high-performance culture.
Ability to drive delivery outcomes while identifying and nurturing commercial opportunities.
