At Zip, we're investing in Agentic Commerce by embedding AI into how we build, operate and evolve our products. You'll help shape how Agentic Commerce, AI enabled experiences and emerging technologies are thoughtfully applied and rapidly prototyped to create intelligent, trusted and human centred customer experiences.

What you'll own

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to balance customer needs, business priorities and technical feasibility, delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Champion design excellence by evolving Zip's design systems, accessibility standards, experience principles and visual quality across the organisation.
  • Lead through a player coach mindset by pairing with designers, facilitating craft reviews, mentoring peers and raising the quality of design through hands on leadership.
  • Influence stakeholders through compelling storytelling, customer insight and strategic thinking to build alignment across disciplines.
  • Explore and apply AI enabled experiences, intelligent automation and emerging interaction patterns where they create meaningful customer value.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Zip's design culture, ensuring quality, consistency and innovation across every customer touchpoint.

What you'll bring to the team

Zipsters work on a broad range of initiatives, and our skills and experiences all look a little different. What really matters to us is that you're a great fit with our four Values, and have a desire to learn and grow.

So whether you meet some or all of the desirable attributes below, we'd still love to hear from you.

  • Significant experience leading complex design initiatives for customer facing digital products within fintech, payments, technology or other high scale, customer centred organisations.
  • Deep expertise across product, interaction and visual design, including scalable design systems, accessibility, motion design and exceptional visual craft, with a portfolio that demonstrates elegant solutions to complex customer problems.
  • A player coach mindset with a passion for shaping product strategy while remaining hands on in the tools, mentoring designers and raising design standards through leading by example.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence Product, Engineering and business leaders across multiple disciplines.
  • Curiosity and hands on experience exploring AI enabled experiences, intelligent automation and emerging interaction models, with an adaptable mindset that embraces new tools and continuous learning.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to simplify complexity into intuitive, human centred customer experiences.
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks. Whether you are a People Manager or an Individual Contributor, we are all leaders at Zip, therefore effective risk management is important to how we run our business and part of all our roles.
