Immuta is seeking a Principal Field Architect (PFA) to be a trusted advisor for our customers in the Asia-Pacific Japan (APJ) region. In this pivotal role, you'll blend deep technical expertise with strategic consulting, directly impacting the adoption and success of Immuta's cutting-edge platform within complex enterprise environments.
YOUR ROLE
As a Principal Field Architect, you'll be the linchpin between Immuta's innovative technology and our customers' production success. You'll have the opportunity to:
Architect Customer Success: Lead the technical journey for our customers, defining the path to production rollout, ensuring seamless adoption, and maximizing the value they derive from Immuta.
Be a Trusted Technical Advisor: Provide unparalleled insight, technical domain expertise, and solution design, becoming the go-to expert for customers navigating complex data governance challenges.
Drive Solution Innovation: Identify and implement novel solutions within customer governance and data provisioning frameworks, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with Immuta.
Influence Product Evolution: Serve as a critical feedback loop, translating customer insights and experiences directly back to our Product team to inform and shape future product development.
Empower the Ecosystem: Collaborate closely with System Integrators (SIs) and other vendors, fostering strong partnerships that extend Immuta's reach and ensure comprehensive solution delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Work with account teams (Account Executive, Regional Director, Sales, Field Chief Technology Officer, etc) to define and execute comprehensive customer account strategies, ensuring technical alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between sales and product teams, providing essential technical support for pre-sales activities like RFP responses while simultaneously relaying valuable customer feedback to inform product development and support initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison to customer technical leadership and coordinate with SI delivery teams on project plans, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Lead technical consultations, validate use cases, conduct initial onboarding and configuration, build and present compelling demonstrations of Proofs of Concept (PoCs) throughout the sales cycle.
- Provide hands-on implementation support for Immuta solutions within diverse customer technology stacks, including modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst), cloud environments, and identity management systems.
- Act as a trusted Immuta Subject Matter Expert, adept at advising customers on technology strategy and expertly configuring, operating, and guiding the implementation of Immuta solutions for critical security, privacy, governance, and compliance use cases.
- Deeply understand customer environments to effectively apply Immuta configurations and policy construction, ensuring successful adoption and growth within their existing analytics computing infrastructure.
- Design data governance solutions using tools like Lucidchart, Visio, and PowerPoint, and continually develop, document, and deploy best practices for new and existing Immuta features.
- Contribute to Immuta's internal knowledge base, developing onboarding guides, training materials, and internal PoCs, and potentially supporting trade shows and marketing efforts.
- Maintain competency in Immuta's technical adjacencies, including data platforms, commercial cloud offerings, IDM systems, catalog management systems, and deployment technologies.
- Serve as a proactive advocate for Immuta's continued growth, identifying and communicating new expansion opportunities within customer organizations, always ensuring your solutions reflect Immuta's current best practices.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships by actively participating in calls, meetings, and events to effectively position Immuta as the preferred technology, while also keeping customers informed on the Immuta product roadmap.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5+ years of experience as a technology consultant, with a strong background in data engineering or data governance roles.
- A BA/BS Degree (or equivalent) in technology, computing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Business proficiency in both Japanese and English, including the ability to participate in technical and engagement-related discussions, and read and write documentation.
- Deep working experience with current modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and Starburst.
- Proven understanding of cloud data architecture, data analytics, and programming concepts.
- Strong grasp of data access through identity management and familiarity with data catalog tools and their purposes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and an aptitude for translating complex technical concepts into clear business terms, and vice versa.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic customer-facing environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed within the APJ region.
