Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a Principal (or Associate Director) level Hydraulic Engineer to join our diverse Building Engineering team.

This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney.

• Act as the Hydraulics Lead on a range of projects, working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Lead the delivery of hydraulic designs and calculations, including technical reviews and sign-off, while delegating tasks and supporting the development of other engineers.
• Work directly with clients and project stakeholders to understand project requirements, key drivers and constraints, providing practical and cost-effective hydraulic solutions.
• Support the wider national Hydraulics team across a variety of projects and sectors, working alongside experienced engineers and contributing to the delivery of complex building projects.
• Deliver a broad range of hydraulic design services, including rainwater harvesting, sanitary plumbing and drainage, trade waste, potable and non-potable water reticulation, hot and warm water systems, energy-efficient and solar hot water systems, specialist water systems such as reverse osmosis and demineralised water, and water-efficient design.

The qualities that help you thrive:

• Ideally, 10+ years’ experience in hydraulic engineering, within a consulting environment, with a strong understanding of Australian Standards, codes and industry requirements.
• Relevant engineering degree or TAFE qualification, with RPEQ/RPEV registration or the ability to obtain it.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients, project teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with experience using relevant industry software. Revit experience is preferred but not essential.
• Australian Citizenship, or being on the pathway to Australian Citizenship, is highly preferred due to the requirements of some of our projects.
