A Day in the LifeMAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
-Rebate administration including timely calculations, accrual adjustments and payments, set up and extension of rebates.
-Provide analytic and strategic support for RFPs to the business units and provide recommendations in accordance with RFP guidelines and business strategies.
-Collaborate with Commercial teams on various initiatives such as product launch and capital deals.
-Support ad hoc analysis requests.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (may include the following and other duties may be assigned):

  • Develops and communicates the strategic, financial, and administrative implications of proposed and/or implemented pricing policy.
  • Develops price recommendations to ensure compliance with policy.
  • Recommends positions for pricing and reimbursement strategies for current and future products across all relevant customer and market segments.
  • May review competition to determine price of new product.
  • Provides input on final pricing contracts.
  • May plan and develop market research and analysis.
  • Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
  • Calculate rebates on a timely basis in accordance with customer agreements.
  • Coordinate the rebate payments and send supporting calculations to business units for approval.
  • Set up new rebates in accordance with the contracts and ensure that agreements are extended on time.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet rebate account reconciliation.
  • Provide key input in RFPs including pricing model assumptions, strategic support and recommendations to align proposals with critical business strategies and marketing guidance.
  • Engage in pricing discussions, including various share scenarios to determine financial impact of business proposals.
  • Work with Commercial teams to assist them in product launch, capital programs and other initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Medtronic policies and procedures and suggest process improvement.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree, or  Advanced degree.

JOB EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with a bachelor’s degree, or

OR

No minimum years of relevant experience, with an advanced degree.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Strong attention to details
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION

  • CPA or pursuing CPA designation or MBA Finance

JOB EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years of relevant experience

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in similar role
