As a Principal Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading complex SAP Procurement and SAP Ariba engagements from strategy through to implementation and optimisation. You will combine deep functional expertise with strong consulting skills to drive successful project outcomes, mentor team members, and contribute to practice growth.

This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects across multiple industries while influencing the future direction of our SAP Procurement capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of SAP Ariba solutions across multiple client engagements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops to understand client business requirements and define target-state procurement processes.
  • Provide thought leadership across Source-to-Pay (S2P), Procurement Transformation, Supplier Lifecycle Management, and Strategic Sourcing.
  • Lead solution design, configuration strategy, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
  • Drive best-practice adoption across SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA Procurement, and SAP Business Network solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior and senior consultants within the Procurement practice.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation across client environments.
  • Support business development initiatives and strengthen long-term client relationships.

Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of SAP consulting experience with strong expertise in Procurement and Supply Chain solutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience delivering SAP Ariba implementations.
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing
    • SAP Ariba Sourcing
    • SAP Ariba Contracts
    • SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance
    • SAP Business Network
  • Strong understanding of procurement business processes and Source-to-Pay best practices.
  • Experience integrating SAP Ariba with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Proven ability to lead workshops and engage with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading project streams or acting as a solution lead on complex transformation programmes.

Highly Desirable

  • SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement expertise.
  • SAP Fieldglass experience.
  • SAP Signavio process transformation experience.
  • SAP Activate methodology certification.
  • SAP Ariba and/or SAP Procurement certifications.
  • Experience contributing to pre-sales and business development activities.
