A bit about your role

As a Senior Workday Engineer, you will shape and execute the engineering strategy for your domain or business unit, guiding a team of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions for customers and stakeholders. This role involves collaborating with other leaders across the organization to ensure alignment and integration of engineering best practices and standards, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
You will leverage your HR expertise to design and architect Workday solutions that align with business objectives and best practices. You will provide SME expertise to business stakeholders, analysts, and architects, ensuring the continuity of the P&C platform and all related services. Your responsibilities include defining and implementing the engineering strategy and roadmap, mentoring and coaching engineers, and driving continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate for this role several years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including leading technical and engineering teams. You will have experience within a People & Culture or relevant field and hold necessary professional engineer accreditation or registration. You will have highly specialized knowledge in technical and engineering aspects of network platforms and nbn networks and have experience working in agile teams using Scrum or other agile practices. Experience in Workday is essential and familiarity with other HRIS platforms such as Salesforce, Chris21 (Payroll), and UKG Dimensions is highly desirable.
You will need proven technical experience in the specialist knowledge areas relevant to this role, with the ability to influence customers, suppliers, and partners. Strong communication skills are crucial, as you will present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be adept at investigating ambiguous technical problems, determining root causes, and recommending actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for making operational and design decisions, developing strategy roadmaps, and managing complex situations with peer architects across all technology domains, including Network, IT, and Security.
