Critical to success is your ability to cut through complexity, align diverse priorities, and deliver outcomes that stand up to executive scrutiny - making you a trusted partner in shaping how technology delivers competitive advantage for Qantas.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years’ experience procurement/strategic sourcing or commercial roles within large, complex organisations, including at least 5 years in a senior technology procurement position.
  • Recent, demonstrated experience leading high‑value technology negotiations in monopoly or constrained supplier markets, delivering sustainable commercial outcomes
  • Proven track record in a team-leadership role, within a high‑performing procurement environment, embedding best‑practice discipline while driving adaptability and pace in environments of rapid strategic change.
  • Proven capability to develop and execute portfolio/category strategies aligned to technology roadmaps, using spend and market insights.
  • Strong executive stakeholder influence, with a track record aligning competing priorities and securing decisions with CIO/CTO-level leaders.
  • Deep commercial and legal acumen, including negotiating complex master agreements, software licensing and outsourcing contracts.
  • Strong supplier relationship management experience with major technology vendors, driving performance, governance and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent planning and delivery discipline - able to manage a sourcing pipeline, track benefits, and produce executive-ready recommendations and reporting.
  • Strong financial and commercial analysis skills (business cases, TCO, financial models) to support investment and budget decisions.
  • High integrity and governance mindset - strong procurement discipline, supplier assurance and compliance (privacy, competition/anti-bribery).
