Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Procurement & Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving cost optimisation, enabling an effective management of key suppliers and risks as well as supporting an efficient sourcing process of goods and services (e.g. Facility/Office Management, Local Sourcing of Print Materials, Supporting Tender Processes and Fleet management) and provide Red Bull Australia with an accurate measure of our carbon footprint and create a short-term and long-term roadmap for meaningful environmental change.


In alignment with HQ Global Procurement applicable guidelines and strategic direction, this role will commence in January 2025 and focus on identifying, planning, and executing procurement strategies for goods and services from Red Bull’s third-party suppliers. This includes working cross-functionally to define and align business needs as well as developing procurement strategies and approaches with internal stakeholders.

Job Description

PLANNING & STRATEGY

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Analyse business plans and company spending to recommend cost optimizations.
  • Maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders for cost optimisation and improvements.
  • Develop and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with the Global Procurement Policy.
  • Provide transparency and insights into third-party spending.
  • Establish and enforce supplier management and outsourcing guidelines and agreements.
  • Analyse trends and market conditions for pricing, availability, lead-time and capacity of goods and services.
  • Provide methods and support to identify and qualify potential new suppliers and to ensure relationships with key suppliers are transparent and actively managed.

SOURCE TO CONTRACT

  • Align procurement recommendations with yearly business plans and goals.
  • Define sourcing strategies and support high-value or important procurement initiatives.
  • Set goals and negotiation tactics to achieve the best value for Red Bull.
  • Lead or support supplier negotiations from source to contract.
  • Recommend budget changes through close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

BUSINESS PARTNERING & TEAM

  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding spend and ensure procurement collaboration.
  • Work closely with budget owners to develop direct sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure key supplier relationships are managed and monitored by contract owner.
  • Manage recruitment, supervision, and development of future procurement team members.
  • Align procurement goals and initiatives with HQ Global Procurement and provide regular updates.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

  • Set-up yearly Procurement targets in alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Establish regular management reporting on procurement initiatives and provide monthly results.
  • Set up and execute KPI reporting for key suppliers and spend.

SUSTAINABILITY & COMPLIANCE

  • Accurately track and measure Red Bull Australia's CO2 footprint.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Strategic Sustainability plan for all business areas.
  • Participate in external associations to stay updated on local and global sustainability trends.
  • Incorporate and ensure compliance with sustainability elements in all supplier contracts.
  • Oversee compliance with Australia’s Modern Slavery Act through the Annual Statement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a Procurement role
  • Degree qualified within a relevant discipline would be highly regarded
  • Experience in project and process management
  • Experience working in high volume FMCG, or consumer durables is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of category management and state of the art ‘source-to-contract’ procurement processes
  • Proficiency in procurement software (P2P, S2C), advanced in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and SAP experience desirable.
  • Ability to establish a long-term procurement vision and strategic plans for the organisation
  • Proven stakeholder management, relationship building skills and excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Ability to drive the delivery of procurement plans against agreed targets whilst prioritising multiple activities
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability, along with a good knowledge of drafting contracts
  • Resilience within a fast-paced environment and experience within a global organisational framework
