The team / how they connect

The Banking Experience, Inventory and US Product Market Fit product design team, are a mission-critical portfolio at the heart of the overall Xero ecosystem. We have many core challenges, including: making Xero fit for goods based business accounting, transforming the complex process of accurately importing and matching banking data to accounting records into a seamless, intuitive experience for our customers, as well as tuning the Xero customer experience to best cater to our US based customers. When these platforms work well, they allow our customers to better manage stock levels as well as being the foundation for timely and accurate financial reports, providing the clear, actionable insights our users depend on to run their businesses.

Initially, you will focus on

  • Rapidly iterating on design concepts for underserved areas like Inventory to help Xero reach new market segments.

  • Enhancing the banking and reconciliation experience to ensure new customers find immediate value in the platform.

  • Exploring broad product design solutions specifically tailored to meet the unique expectations of the US region.

  • Utilising our comprehensive design system to maintain consistency while exploring "outside the box" creative solutions.

Here are some of the things we are looking for

  • You bring a strong portfolio that showcases high-quality design outcomes and your ability to solve genuine customer pain points.

  • A collaborative spirit is essential, as you will work closely with engineering and product peers to rapidly iterate on ideas.

  • Your background includes a solid understanding of building and evolving products based on usage patterns and direct user feedback.

  • You possess the confidence to articulate your design rationale and pitch your concepts effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Exploring multiple concepts while factoring in technical constraints is a challenge you enjoy and excel at.

  • You have a natural curiosity and aren't afraid to start from a blank canvas to influence the product roadmap and strategy.

You will have access to our beautiful office spaces for collaboration and 'boost days', balanced with the autonomy to work from home. Apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match! At Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team.
