Job Description

As Product Manager, AI & Emerging Technology, you’ll help shape how TAL uses responsible innovation to deliver better experiences for our customers, partners and people. Sitting within Digital Engineering, this role connects emerging AI capability with meaningful business outcomes, helping TAL safely explore, adopt and scale solutions that support our broader purpose of protecting Australians when they need it most. With a focus on claims transformation and opportunities across underwriting, legal and customer operations, you’ll play a key part in turning ideas into trusted, measurable capability that makes work simpler, decisions smarter and customer experiences more human. This is a meaningful opportunity to help guide TAL’s next chapter of digital innovation, where technology is used with care, purpose and impact.

Please note this role needs to be Sydney based.

In this role you will:

  • Shape TAL’s AI product vision and roadmap to deliver measurable business and customer value.
  • Prioritise AI investment across the portfolio to balance innovation, usability, feasibility and risk.
  • Drive adoption and value realisation through clear success measures and evidence-based decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to turn emerging AI capability into scalable product outcomes.
  • Align stakeholders across claims and the enterprise to ensure products meet user and business needs.
  • Embed responsible AI governance, privacy, security and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bring 5+ years’ experience leading digital, data or AI products from concept through to launch and adoption.
  • Understand how AI, generative AI and machine learning can be applied responsibly to solve user and business problems.
  • Translate technical capability into clear product opportunities that deliver measurable customer and business value.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align decisions and drive outcomes.
  • Apply sound judgement across privacy, security, ethics and regulatory considerations in Australian financial services.
  • Use agile, evidence-led ways of working to prioritise, iterate and improve products over time.
