Owns product discovery, prioritization, scoping, delivery, and outcome measurement for AI-powered tools used by lawyers and accountants. The role may focus on answer experiences, integrations, workflows, or scale and self-service. Responsibilities include user research, analyzing feedback and usage data, making product trade-offs, collaborating with engineering and leadership, and improving adoption and impact.

Nylon builds AI research tools that are changing how lawyers and accountants work. 2,000+ firms across New Zealand, Australia and the UK trust our platform, from the biggest firms in the world to small specialist practices. Backed by Australasia's top VCs, we're expanding into new markets while relentlessly deepening our position in the UK and Australia.

We're growing the product team, and we're looking for a Product Manager to help decide what we build next and make sure it lands.

THE ROLE

You'll own problems end to end: what to build, why it matters, and whether it worked. We're expanding fast beyond research into the wider workflow professionals live in, which means more surface area than we currently have people to cover.

We have a strong in-person culture, so you'll be based full-time in our Auckland CBD office, working closely with our Product Lead, engineering and the founders.

WHAT YOU COULD OWN

You'll have one area as your primary, agreed during the process, and work across the others.

  • The answer experience. How a professional asks a hard question and trusts what comes back. Retrieval, citations, verification, speed

  • Integrations. Outlook, Xero, practice-management and document systems. Each one pulls Nylon deeper into how a firm actually runs

  • Workflows. Helping professionals engage clients and gather the facts behind the advice. Meeting AI is already in real client meetings

  • Scale and self-serve. Making Nylon work as well for a 500-seat firm as for a sole practitioner: onboarding, identity, billing, the public API

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Working with users, leadership and internal teams to find the highest-value product opportunities

  • Turning customer feedback, usage data and business priorities into clearly scoped, well-argued initiatives

  • Learning how lawyers and accountants actually work, in depth, and using that to improve usability, adoption and impact

  • Making the trade-off calls and writing them down, so the team knows what we chose and why

  • Following work through to release, then measuring whether it moved the number you said it would

  • Solving novel problems. We work at the frontier of AI systems, so much of what you hit has no known answer

ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years in product management, ideally B2B SaaS, with products you can point at and talk through

  • You've run discovery, scoped the work, shipped it and owned the outcome

  • World-class problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Exceptional written communication. Clear writing is how decisions get made here

  • You operate like an owner and fix problems before anyone asks

  • You use AI tooling daily and have a view on where it helps and where it doesn't

  • You enjoy the scale-up stage: little playbook, real ownership, decisions that stick

  • You'll be expected to learn a complex professional domain quickly. Experience selling to or building for professional services is an advantage, not a requirement

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • Competitive salary, based on experience and capability

  • Direct exposure to product strategy, customer problems and execution in a fast-growing AI company

  • A category-defining product with genuine market traction

  • A small, high-performance team where your judgement matters and your progression is real

ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE

  • The right to work permanently in New Zealand, Australia or the UK

  • Based in Auckland, Sydney or London (this is a full-time, in-office role)
